Hey there folks! Sythaz here and I am coming to you with an offer. With the introduction of the Ward of Elements there has been an addition of some very nice Tier Three Shard gear as well as other items that drop from this new zone. Looking to help, the guild I would like to borrow (and/or steal)Tenia's (Shantalla's) idea (Running Charasis daily) of diligently running this zone to start getting ourselves some rather nice gear. Now unlike Shantalla's groups we will need two groups for this zone, we won't be able to do it daily, and you will have to be level 80 in order to enter.
Now I have been in the zone once before and I can say from experience that Damage Per Second, and MAJOR healing is required for this zone, if not it makes the zone a rather painful romp.
The risk is not in vain however, as the rewards from the zone are well worth it. So, if you are interested please post a response in this thread, or drop me a tell, or send me in game mail with your character's class and I will see about trying to set up a time when we can raid this zone.
If I do begin to receive lots of interest I wouldn't mind forming two raids or switching others in and out based on gear, compatibility,and interest.
So yeah! Let me know if you are interested, I think this is a great opportunity if we snag it, I hope you all feel the same!
Sign me up. some weeks I'll be able to make all raids scheduled. Others, none. Depends on my varied work schedule. Can't make any weekday raids this week as I"m working all nights, but will be on all next weekend. Kierian
I'd also like to know how long it would take, and what time you would plan on starting the raids before I know if I would be able to go. I'd like to be done by 9:00pm Pacific (9:30 perhaps) on weeknights.
And sorry we missed the meeting, we totally forgot... that's part of the reason why several officers have our phone numbers...

With the topic of Ward of Elements in the Guild meeting it sounds like there might be more emphasis on this zone as well as increased interest.
For: Deveryn and Xelian -- As for the amount of time it takes to do the entire zone, I've not yet completed the entire zone so I couldn't even begin to give you a rough estimate. It all depends on how the group make up is, if you've got the right people with the right gear I've been told it can be about an hour to two hours (of course that is under ideal gear conditions) My idea was to set goals and get a feel for the zone (I.E. we'll kill the first two named, take a poll, see if we want to continue or not) eventually getting the lay out of the zone down pact so we might start cruising through there.
Interested in a regular WoE raid group. Have been going with some other folks and have gotten to and past Digg, but that is it. Would rather be doing it with folks from the guild to make us better.
So since I am back in the running from Scotland I am going to start offering Ward of Elements runs every week. Anyone have any nights that you want to do it on?
I am thinking about just farming the first couple named for a while until we can get better gear. I really would like to start getting more of our guild members into Tier 3 Shard armor even if that is by steps. So just focusing on Imperator Ignus and Gelidus Ventus with the possible addition of Khost Alur (Those are the first three named of the zone)
I would also like to try to get as many different people in there as possible as well so we can start getting more exposure and start getting a better feel for the zone itself.
I would love to go back. Any night other than raid nights works for me. If I'm on an alt, please ask anyway. alts are just to kill time til something comes up for my warden.
Awesome Sandina, seeing as how we don't have the Friday raids scheduled anymore I might start one up this Friday night. Anyone else like to come on Friday? I am looking for another tank, another chain/plate healer (maybe both depending on the Main Tank) and lot's o' DPS.
Emmeline and I would be interested in having a go at WoE on Friday Nights, starting at perhaps 8-830pm EST.
I would ideally like to see a MT group:
Tank Shaman Cleric Hate Transfer - Coercer or Assassin/Swash, perhaps 2 Dirge, or if not then an additional Healer
DPS Group:
Healer Support (dirge or Troub depending on group makeup) Scout/Caster dps
Now, from what I hear...scouts are good but Caster/ranged dps seems to do better against trash at range. I've been there once, it went badly (in retrospect, I think the groups bunched up too closely and just repeatedly ate the AoE's from the trash).
I would be open to doing this instance every week on a schedule. The gear in there is decent, some very nice resist pieces drop from the trash.
If we cannot organize a full GUILD-membered force for this, I suggest that perhaps we use Friday nights as TSO zone run nights in its stead. There is good gear in those instances, chances for masters, and in most of the cases at least 2 shards per instance. If we run them enough, we could get 2-3 of them down to 40-45 minute runs each, hitting 3 of them in the time it takes for some to do a single instance. Just a thought.
So, I just went into the Ward of Elements on Saturday and it turned out rather well. I ended up tanking a bunch of the trash up to the Elecro-Water guy. We couldn't get the water guy down, but I have been told that you can move on and do the other guys so I might give all the names up to the void dragon.
I think Friday nights is going to be the best bet... Let's try for the 19th. Let me know if you want in either in game in any form (send tells to Sythaz/Jalrar) or post a reply.
